POTMN Project Manager Vacancy

Job Purpose: To oversee our Cost of Living project aimed at supporting survivors of domestic abuse.

Location: Power of the Mind Networks, c/o Spring Charity, Spring Lane, Northampton NN1 2JW

Reporting to: Mavis Mundirwa, Charity Founder and Trustee

Hours of Work: 12 week fixed term contract. 18 hours per week, including evenings and weekends.

Rate of pay: £25 per hour

Main Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the activities that form part of our Cost of Living project, including food parcels; the Restore Programme (an extension of the Freedom Programme); co-ordinating and planning activities such as mental health chats, exercise classes and Muchongoyo dance classes alongside the appropriate professionals/trainers
  • Identifying and supporting beneficiaries, holding one-to-ones, and compiling and maintaining a register of beneficiaries and attendees
  • Managing our existing Facebook group and page; creating and managing new social media accounts (Twitter/X, Instagram and TikTok)
  • Creating content for website updates
  • Creating flyers for activities
  • Raise awareness and grow the charity’s brand through increasing engagement
  • Managing 2 project support workers and supervising volunteers, and holding weekly team meetings
  • Updating policies and procedures as required
  • Attending meetings both in person and on Zoom
  • Producing project evaluation reports

Previous experience: Previous experience of work within the community or voluntary sector, able to provide references on request.


  • Strong interpersonal and people management skills.
  • IT literate, comfortable with the use of technology including Microsoft Office and online platforms such as Zoom
  • Competent in the use of social media platforms
  • Creativity in the delivery of activities

  • Compassionate and sensitive, with the ability to respect confidentiality and the privacy of our beneficiaries
  • Proactive and self-motivated
  • Able to work with minimal supervision
  • Good attention to detail
  • Flexible regarding working hours – due to the nature of this project, evening and weekend work will be required.

Other requirements

  • Must have the right to work in the UK
  • Must be prepared to undergo a DBS check
  • A full, clean UK driving licence preferred
